GMC Yukon specs

Model overview

The GMC Yukon is a full-size SUV produced by General Motors. Through the early 1990s, GMC marketed two different-sized SUVs under their Blazer/Jimmy model names. This situation was changed in 1991 when GMC rebadged the full-size Jimmy as the Yukon. The name Yukon refers to the Yukon region of northern Canada.

The Yukon is powered by a naturally aspirated V-8 engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The standard Yukon is a 355-hp 5.3-liter V-8 engine paired with a six-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive. Rear-drive models can tow up to 8500 pounds, while all-wheel-drive versions can tow up to 8200 pounds.
