Model overview

The Hyundai Santa Cruz is a four-door sport utility truck manufactured by the South Korean carmaker Hyundai. Launched in 2021 as a 2022 model, the Santa Cruz is the first 4-door pickup truck ever marketed by Hyundai in the North American market. The vehicle is based on the Tucson crossover and uses a monocoque or unibody chassis layout. Industry analysts expected to attract crossover buyers instead of people who have owned a bigger, traditional pickup truck.

The Santa Cruz will be available with one of two available powertrains. The first is a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque. It's paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The second engine is a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder delivering out 281 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Both powertrains will be available with a choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
