Model overview
The Chevrolet Traverse is a seven or eight-seat full-size SUV produced by General Motors on the same platform as the GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave. It is the replacement of the Chevrolet TrailBlazer and Uplander minivan.
Formerly sold as a full-size crossover SUV, the Traverse was made at GM's Spring Hill, assembly factory during 2009, but then in 2010, the production had moved to Michigan. The 2009 Chevrolet Traverse was launched in 2008 at the Chicago Auto Show.
The second-generation model debuted 2017 and beginning with the 2019 model year, the Traverse was slotted above the Chevrolet Blazer.
The Chevrolet Traverse is equipped with a potent V-6 engine paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The 3.6-liter V-6 engine pulls strongly making the Traverse one the faster SUV of its class. The cabin is so quiet that sometimes you need to look at the tachometer to ensure the engine is working.
