Model overview

The Cadillac Lyriq is a full battery-electric crossover made by Cadillac. It is Cadillac's original fully electric automobile. It offers new technology, a new layout, the capacity to park and unpark itself, as well as to move on a freeway without the driver steering the wheel. It introduces a new variant of GM's Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system. 

The Lyriq launched in the US in 2022 as a 2023 model. It is constructed in Tennessee for North America and in Yantai, China for Asia.

The base Lyriq comes with rear-wheel drive and has a 100-kW battery pack. This mix provides 340 horsepower and more than 300 miles of range, per Cadillac. That range is similar to Tesla Model Y Long Range (326 miles) and more than the Audi e-Tron (222 miles) or Jaguar I-Pace (234 miles). 

The Lyriq comes powered by a 19.2-kW onboard charger capable of adding up to 52 miles of range per hour. This is significantly more powerful than the onboard chargers on most other EVs. The charger's arrangement under the hood is one of the causes why there is no storage space there.
