Model overview

The Lincoln MKS is a full-size sedan that was produced and sold by the Lincoln subdivision of Ford from 2008 through 2016. First presented in 2007 at the LA Auto Show, the production started in 2008 as the 2009 model year.

The MKS was the second car in Lincoln's family to use the "MK" classification and the first model to use it through its complete making. With the abandonment of the Lincoln Town Car in 2011, the MKS became the longest production sedan marketed by an American carmaker through 2016.

The Lincoln MKS was ended after the 2016 model year and followed by the new Lincoln Continental.

The Lincoln MKS was available in two trim levels: MKS and MKS EcoBoost. The base model was powered by a 3.7-liter V6 and paired to a six-speed automatic transmission in either front- or all-wheel drive. This powertrain generated 305 hp and 280 pound-feet of torque.
