Model overview

The Infiniti Q40 was a four-door midsize luxury sedan produced by Infiniti. It was the follower of the Infiniti G Series sedan. Modifications to G Series sedan combined decreased body color choices to four and redesigned emblem on the trunk lid.

In 2013, Infiniti declared a new naming scheme starting with the 2014 model year; all passenger vehicles will start by the letter "Q," while SUVs names will begin with "QX." The Infiniti G was to have been replaced by the Infiniti Q50, but the G37 was revived as the Q40 beginning with the 2015 model year.

The Infiniti Q40 is available in a single base trim level. Is powered by a 3.7-liter V6 that generates 328 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. A seven-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive is by default, and all-wheel drive is optional. The Q40 is expected to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in about 5.5 seconds, much faster than similarly priced rivals.
