Model overview
The Hyundai Palisade is a full-size SUV produced by Hyundai as 2018. It was unveiled at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show. It substitutes the Maxcruz which is known as Santa Fe XL outside of South Korea.
Like its ancestor, the Palisade highlights three rows of seating, with seating for up to eight passengers when provided with a second-row bench seat. The Palisade is Hyundai's biggest vehicle to date.
The name Palisade references a range of coastal cliffs, the neighborhood of Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles.
The Palisade is available in three trims: SE, SEL, and Limited. All models are equipped with a 3.8-liter V-6 engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and delivering 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The Palisade's transmission can be manually shifted with steering-wheel-mounted paddles. The Palisade can tow up to 5000 pounds when properly equipped.
