Genesis G70 specs
Model overview
The Genesis G70 is a 4-door executive sedan produced by the Korean luxury carmaker Genesis, a subsidiary of Hyundai. As an all-new nameplate, the G70 was introduced in 2017, at a global launch exhibition in Seoul's Olympic Park. The Genesis G70 won the 2019 North American Car of the Year award.
The Genesis G70 was under construction for several years and was previewed by the Genesis New York Concept shown in 2016 at the New York International Auto Show. Designing of the G70 took place at Hyundai Namyang R&D Center in South Korea.
The Genesis comes in three trim levels: 2.0T, 2.0T six-speed manual, and 3.3T. Available only as a sedan, the G70 comes with two powertrains and can be matched with rear- or all-wheel drive. The 2.0T six-speed manual is only possible with rear-wheel drive.
The base trim is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine developing for 252 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, while the more active 3.3T trim is powered by a turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 that produces 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque.
