Model overview

The Ford Maverick is a compact pickup truck manufactured by Ford. It was launched on June 8, 2021, as the smallest truck sold by the company. The Maverick is based on a front-wheel drive-based unibody platform distributed amongst the Ford Escape and Bronco Sport and offered a hybrid powertrain as default. It is supposed to go on sale in late 2021 for the 2022 model year.

The 2022 Ford Maverick will be possible in three trim levels: XL, XLT, and Lariat. The XL won't have many things, but it will be suitable for most of the upper trim levels' options. For instance, the turbocharged 2.0-liter engine and the 4K towing package are available in any trim level. 

Options for the Maverick include the 4K tow package, an FX4 Off-Road package, and Luxury packages for the XLT and Lariat trim that include heated seats, a heated steering wheel, wireless smartphone charging and, an upgraded eight-speaker stereo.

• Towing and hauling figures are not best in class
• Some features sneaked in costly optional packages
• All-wheel drive only available with an optional turbocharged powertrain
