Model overview

The initial generation of the BMW 4 Series includes the BMW F32 (coupé version), BMW F33 (convertible version), and BMW F36 (four-door coupé version, sold as 'Gran Coupé') compact executive automobiles. The F32/F33/F36 has been built as 2014 and is usually collectively associated with the F32.

The F32 was launched as the replacement to the E92/E93 coupé/convertible variants of the fifth-generation 3 Series series. The F32 is created alongside the F30 3 Series. As with the F30 3 Series series, the 4 series is equipped with a turbocharged petrol and diesel engines with 3 cylinders, 4 cylinders, and 6 cylinders.

The new 2020 BMW 4 Series Coupe is available in two trims: 430i and 440i. The 430i is powered with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine (248 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque), while the 440i is equipped with turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine (326 horsepower and 332 lb-ft). Each engine mates with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive.

Some of the common problems or complaints owners have about the BMW 4 Series are:

• Oil leaks from the lower engine
• Crash of the blower final stage cooler resistor
• Low AC refrigerant that produces a sound
• The collapse of multiple power steering hoses
• Coolant flow in the water pump
• Fuel pump pressure problems
