Model overview
The Saturn Sky is a roadster that was built by Saturn and was introduced in 2006 as a 2007 model. It utilizes the Kappa vehicle platform shared with the Pontiac Solstice. The Sky concept debuted in 2005 at the North American International Auto Show, with the making variant following at the 2006 show. It was built at GM's Wilmington Assembly factory beside the Solstice.
The Wilmington Assembly factory stopped in 2009, ceasing making as both the Pontiac and Saturn nameplates were withdrawn.
The Saturn Sky is available in base and Red Line models. The base model has a 2.4-liter inline-4 engine rated at 177 hp and 166 pound-feet of torque. The Sky Red Line comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 260 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Both models send their power to the rear wheels through a default five-speed manual transmission or an optional five-speed automatic.
