Model overview
The Lexus RX is a luxury SUV sold since 1998 by Lexus, the luxury division of Toyota. First released in Japan in late 1997 as the Toyota Harrier, export sales began the following year as the Lexus RX. Four generations of the RX have been made until now.
The RX is offered in four different powertrains. The base RX350 model is powered by a 275-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and paired to an eight-speed automatic and front-wheel drive as standard. The hybrid RX350h is paired with electric motors with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine to produce 246 horsepower and comes paired continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and all-wheel drive. The F trim combines the turbocharged 2.4-liter and electric power to produce 367 horsepower and send the power to all four wheels.
