Model overview

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio is a five-door compact luxury crossover SUV produced and sold by the Alfa Romeo division of FCA. I was unveiled in 2016 at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and starting making at the end of 2016. It is presently Alfa Romeo's best-selling SUV, with over 40,000 units sold in 2018.

The Stelvio utilizes FCA's Giorgio platform, shared with the Giulia sedan. The name Stelvio originates from the Stelvio Pass, Italy's highest hill path, remarked for its 48 switchbacks.

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio comes in four main trim levels; Stelvio RWD, Stelvio AWD, Stelvio Ti AWD, and Stelvio Quadrifoglio. The Stelvio RWD, AWD, and Ti AWD are equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder (280 horsepower, 306 lb-ft of torque) mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio is powered by a turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 engine (505 hp, 443 lb-ft of torque) sending power through all four wheels by an eight-speed automatic transmission.
