Model overview
The Ford Flex is a full-size SUV produced by the Ford within 2009 to 2019 model years. The Flex replaces the Ford Taurus X and Freestyle, sharing an updated platform.
The Flex is built beside the Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX in Ontario, where the first Flex was created in June 2008.
Ford Flex has two V-6 powertrains available, both of 3.5 liters and paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. The base engine delivers 287 hp and can be either front or all-wheel drive. The Limited trim is equipped with a twin-turbo V-6 engine, 365 hp, and comes with an all-wheel drive. The turbocharged Limited variant accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds.
