Model overview
The Cadillac DeVille was initially a trim level and later a separate model manufactured by Cadillac. The first car with its name was the 1949 Coupe de Ville, a two-door hardtop body style with a trim level over that of the Series 62 luxury coupe. In 2005 the last model bearing the name of DeVille was the Cadillac DeVille, a full-size sedan, the biggest car in the Cadillac model series at the time. The next year, the DeVille was formally renamed the Cadillac DTS.
