Model overview
The Jaguar XJ is a range of full-size premium vehicles built by British carmaker Jaguar Cars (Jaguar Land Rover of 2013) from 1968 through 2019. It was built across five basic platform generations with various renewed derivatives of each. Of 1970 it was Jaguar's flagship four-door model.
The Jaguar XJ is available in regular XJ and long-wheelbase XJL models. Trims consist of the R-Sport and the Supercharged for XJ vehicles and the Portfolio, Supercharged, and the new XJR575 for XJL. The R-Sport and Portfolio are powered by a 3.0-liter V6 (340 horsepower, 332 pound-feet) and can be provided with all-wheel drive. The Supercharged trim receives a 5.0-liter V8 (470 hp, 424 lb-ft) and the XJR575 a V8 rated at 575 hp and 517 lb-ft of torque.
