Lexus LC 500 500h specs
Model overview
The Lexus LC is a grand tourer produced by Lexus, Toyota's luxury division. It was introduced in 2016 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit and was Based on the 2012 LF-LC concept. A hybrid-electric variant, named LC 500h, debuted in Geneva the same year.
The Lexus LC 500h, as the "h" implies, is the hybrid-equipped variant of the LC 500, a luxury sports coupe. Rather than having a V8 powertrain as the LC has, the LC 500h employs a 3.5-liter V6 engine coupled with two motor-generators. The total output power generated is about 354 horsepower.
The engine and motors are linked to a unique transmission, which consists of a four-speed automatic transmission installed inside a CVT. This kind of “dual” transmission gives access to the torque produced by the electric motor and works similarly to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
