Overview:Buick, previously the Buick Motor Division, is an upscale vehicle brand of the American producer General Motors (GM). For much of its existence in the North American market, Buick has been sold as a premium vehicle brand, marketing luxury vehicles positioned over GM's mainstream brands, e.g. Chevrolet, while under the flagship luxury Cadillac division.
The Buick Rainier was a midsize SUV that was produced by General Motors and sold by Buick for model years 2004-2007, succeeding the Oldsmobile Bravada. The Rainier was launched on July 28, 2003, for the model year 2004 year, being one of the only five GMT360 SUVs to offer a V8 engine — along with the GMC Envoy Denali, Isuzu Ascender EXT, Saab 9-7X 5.3i and Aero, and Chevrolet TrailBlazer LT and SS.
