For much of its existence in the North American market, Buick has been sold as a premium vehicle brand, marketing luxury vehicles positioned over GM's mainstream brands, e.g. Chevrolet, while under the flagship luxury Cadillac division.

    The Buick Park Avenue is a full-size vehicle manufactured by Buick. The nameplate was initially used in 1975 for an exterior option package on the Electra 225 Limited. It became an Electra trim level in 1978 and its model beginning in the 1991 model year after the Electra was abandoned.
