  • Omoda is a car model that was introduced in 2022 by a Chinese company known as Chery Automobile. It works under Chery international and it is considered as an export strategy of the company. Omoda is sold in non-Chinese markets together with Jaecoo, its sister brand.

    The brand is placed a little higher than the primary Chery range, though in most countries Omoda and Jaecoo are sold through the same dealerships.

    Chery states that the name Omoda is a blend between two concepts: the letter O, inspired by the term oxygen and the other one, Moda, meaning modern style. The brand is being sold in Iran as Ecoda.
