Model overview

The Subaru Ascent is a mid-size crossover SUV produced by Subaru. It is the biggest vehicle Subaru makes. With seven or eight-seat passenger and with the design based on VIZIV-7 the SUV made its appearance in 2017 at the LA Auto Show. The Ascent became available to buy in the third quadrant of 2018.

The Subaru Ascent comes in base, Premium, Limited and Touring trim levels. All trims are powered by a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine (260 horsepower, 277 lb-ft of torque) joined with a CVT automatic. All-wheel drive comes by default across the lineup along with Subaru's EyeSight driver-assist technology.

The base trims get well equipped with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, three-zone climate control and can tow up to 2,000 pounds. The next trim, Premium, can tow up to 5,000 pounds and comes with improved interior materials and a bigger infotainment touchscreen system.
