Model overview

The Ford Fusion Hybrid is a gasoline-electric hybrid-powered variant of the mid-sized Ford Fusion sedan produced and sold by Ford, across second generations. 

The prime generation debuted in the U.S. market in 2009 for the model year 2010, concomitantly with its badge-engineered versions, the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid and the Mercury Milan Hybrid. The second generation was introduced under the Ford and Lincoln brands for the model year 2013 and went on sale in 2012.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) evaluated the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid at 39 mpg‑US combined city/highway. The second-generation hybrid increased the fuel economy evaluation to 42 mpg‑US for mixed city/highway driving. The EPA rated the Energi's mixed city/highway fuel economy in all-electric mode at 106 mpg-imp while in hybrid operation, the Energi has a mixed fuel economy of 38 mpg‑US.

The Ford Fusion Hybrid is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired to an electric motor delivering a total output of 188 horsepower. The power is sent to the front wheels through a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). It is available in three-level trims: SE, SEL, and Titanium.
